International Women of Courage
First Lady of the United State Melania Trump greets the 2019 International Women of Courage Awardees at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. Now in its 13th year, the Secretary of State’s IWOC Award recognizes women around the globe who have demonstrated exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for peace, justice, human rights, gender equality, and women’s empowerment, often at great personal risk and sacrifice. Since the inception of this award in March 2007, the State Department has recognized more than 120 women from more than 65 different countries. U.S. diplomatic missions overseas nominate one woman of courage from their respective host countries. The finalists are selected and approved by senior Department officials.

Branding Aesthetic
Interview target audience/usersIn our last phase of this project we did audience research to get to know our users. We studied analytics and the results of user feedback and interviews. We looked for patterns within groups of users. We then used this information to create User Personas. It’s these personas and the picture they paint of our primary users, that we’ll refer to throughout the design process while we’re making key decision-making on this project. We combed through the data and the interviews, and summed it up with 3 user types. The three user personas were created from patterns and trends that occurred commonly in user interviews and surveys. The information is grouped by user type. We can now design for our primary user, and accommodate the secondary user.
